HERE...THIS IS THE PLACE

Dorothy & Toto...The Wizard of Oz

"No matter how bad or good you think life is,
wake up each day and be thankful for life.
Someone, somewhere is fighting to survive."
...unknown
.

Weather-wise there are many horrific things that occur...worldwide!

However, those of us living in the United States are usually more aware of those events taking place within our personal borders, right?

Living on the coast one isn't surprised to experience hurricanes...wild storms that blow things away, flood areas...resulting in billions of dollars in damage...and tragically, deaths and injuries.

Why do people continue making their homes there? Why don't they move to a safer, more normal environment?

How about living in the beautiful mountains and forests in America? Whack...in a flash of lightning they can become massive, unimaginable infernos. Almost uncontrollable they take out people and homes ~ everything imaginable...leaving nothing but ashes behind...coupled w/injuries and death.

Why do people continue making their homes there? Why don't they move to a safer, more normal environment?

Living in Tornado Alley is like riding a roller-coaster. Having been raised in that area, I know why I don't like roller-coasters...I've ridden out too many tornado warnings! Stomach churning's and racing hearts aren't pleasant experiences. You've seen videos, pictures of what those humongous storms suck up and spew out...leaving in their wake huge piles of what were people's 'everything's'; many injuries and sadly...many deaths.

Why do people continue making their homes there? Why don't they move to a safer, more normal environment?

Because...just because!

"Life has a way of testing a person's will,
either by having nothing happen at all
or by having everything happen at once.
Paulo Coelho

From my heart...to yours,
Vasca
