the following thoughts are from a non-famous person...me.

 

Simple things bring me happiness...now Michael is not a 'simple thing'...he is of the utmost importance to me!  (Case you don't know, he's my husband aka the love of my life).  Much of my happiness comes in doing little things for him.  Like?  Well, I so enjoy making breakfast and the food I put on his plate is placed to make a picture or design of some sort (in my mind's eye, that is).    He loves it...'cause he loves me!

 

A little part of happiness...but hey, it wraps me in sparkles & adds a special something to my life.

 

I love writing...writing letters...writing posts...writing, writing, writing.   Sometimes I feel guilty because I seem to waste an inordinate amount of time...like I don't always use it wisely!  Some days?  Aah, I could write on and on...oops, where did the time go?  Productive or not...I do love it.  Okay, that doesn't cover me...but it might help a bit, you think? Writing brings me happiness.

 

Happiness is watching the beautiful things God created...birds, for instance.  Wow...there comes that handsome cardinal w/his misses not far behind...and I see the little wrens looking around!  The doves have long, long soothing conversations...Tommy hides in the bushes hoping for an innocent bird mistake!  God does wonders, doesn't He?  His work always...always puts a smile on my face and gives much peace and happiness in my life...oh my!  Awesome!

 

This is but a smidgen of what happiness is to me...a tiny bit.  David A. Christensen said "Anybody who is happy all the time needs a psychiatrist".  You don't think I need one, do you?  Oh no...no!!!

 

A Chinese proverb puts it this way:

"If you want happiness for an hour ? take a nap. 

If you want happiness for a day ? go fishing.

If you want happiness for a year ? inherit a fortune.

If you want happiness for a lifetime ? help someone else."
